** SEEKING MUSICIANS FOR NEW AMERICANA BAND ** - 4 July 2008
Professional songwriting team who pitch their works to film/TV/commercial and other artists wish to expand their musical horizons by creating a new group specializing in authentic Americana music (with Alt-Country / Delta Blues / Southern Rock influences). The group will have a female lead vocalist who is from the Mississippi Delta of America, play original material and will be based in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom.
Here's what they *ARE* looking for:
* STEEL GUITAR, SLIDE GUITAR, FIDDLE, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Dobro, Mandolin, Drums, Keyboard. Note: If you play a different instrument than those listed that you feel this group would benefit from, by all means make your case!
* Musicians who love Americana! I can't stress this point enough - you must be insanely happy with the type of music this group will be creating and specializing in!
* Well-seasoned musicians who love playing music and are interested in establishing a long-term, musical relationship with other group members
* Individuals reasonably 'settled-down' in their lives, reliable and can't imagine a life without music
* Team players. Family-oriented in the sense that while music is an integral part of your life, it doesn't rule your life, nor is it something you want to do purely as a career objective
* Musicians who desire to play great, original music. Full stop! The next objective is to produce studio albums, make the albums available for public consumption and pitch songs from the album either singularly or collectively to industry opportunities. Everything else will be played by ear!
Here's what they *ARE NOT* looking for:
* They are not looking for session musicians
* They are not looking to gig, go on tour, fame or fortune
Serious inquires only. Please make contact via Garleighfield Records. In your message, please include the instrument(s) you play, a brief history of your musical background, your musical aspirations and contact details.
